Welcome to Joann's Place.
Joann Douglass is no longer offering formal pastoral counseling.
I urge you to seek out a church or Christian group that preaches and teaches the Word of God, verifiable through the Holy Bible. Seek out a place where you like being and feel a part of, and the people there are believers in and followers of our Lord and Saviour--Christ Jesus.
Isaiah 55:6-7 (Amplified 2015 version) -- Seek the LORD while He may be found; call on Him [for salvation] while He is near. Let the wicked leave (behind) his way and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return to the LORD, and He will have compassion (mercy) on him, and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.
What's up with all the Olives?!
God gave the olive tree to His People because every part of it is useful and good for them--and us, too!
The fruit (the olive itself) is nutritious and good to eat. It also provides us with olive oil, which is very good and very good for our diets. The olive oil is good for the skin, and has healing properties, as well. The oil is even useful for burning in lamps.
The rich, beautiful olive wood is good for making things, like bowls and utensils.
And the leaves of the olive tree--well, there's healing in the olive leaves! (Ever heard of Olive Leaf Extract? If not, look it up.) It can kill bacteria that causes viruses. There have been clinical trials done proving this in regard to some bacteria.
Is it any wonder our Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus, chose to spend His last moments before his arrest and crucifixion in the Garden of Gethsemane -- a garden full of olive trees!!
The LORD [acknowledged you once as worthy and] called your name, "A green olive tree, fair and beautiful in fruit and form" (Jeremiah 11:16a amp)
