Pastoral Counselor, Lic. Minister

     Reverend Joann Douglass is a licensed minister with the international Fellowship of Ministries.  She is also a Certified Temperament Counselor and a Licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselor, certified and licensed through the National Christian Counselors Association.  She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Christian Counseling through Cornerstone University.  She received her Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Christian Counseling through Colorado Theological Seminary.  She also has many advanced certifications through the National Christian Counselors Association.

     Reverend Douglass graduated Westmoreland High School as Salutatorian of her graduating class.  She had a career with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, and has worked in various business venues including but not limited to:  a grocery store, a restaurant, a department store, a savings and loan company, a manufacturing firm, an elementary school, and a university.  While being a stay-at-home mom, she was also self-employed in various ventures -- selling Avon products, parts packaging, owned a vending business, and owned/managed residential rental properties.

     In the area of religion, Reverend Douglass has attended various denominational, non-denominational and inter-denominational churches.  She has taught Sunday school for those ranging in ages from grade school to senior adult, has been youth leader, and various other functions in the church.  In addition, outside the church, she has conducted Bible studies, rented a small church for meetings open to the public featuring Answers in Genesis video teachings, taught New Tribes Mission Firm Foundations curriculum in the business environment, and was worship leader for a local chapter of Women's Aglow International.  She has been a supporter of Creation Ministries International, Answers in Genesis, The Institute for Creation Research, local Christian radio, Trans World Radio, and various other ministries

 

     Reverend Douglass is an individual who is well-rounded in work, church, (both within and without the organized church), and life experience, and is passionate about whatever endeavor she undertakes.  Through her pastoral counseling ministry which she has just recently opened in Stillwater, OK, her goal is to bring a hope and a refreshing to God's people through counseling with God's Word and her training to those in need of someone to listen to and respond to them.  She enjoys eating-out, watching tv and movies (like all the different Star Treks, Star Wars, NCIS, etc.), and settling down in a comfy chair to read (usually Christian fiction) at her home in Stillwater, OK, where she lives with her husband of 38+ years, and two cats.
